Nirvan Bhattacharyya, PhD: Atmospheric Scientist

Hello! I’m Nirvan Bhattacharyya, an atmospheric scientist studying particle formation, growth, and chemistry and trying to understand the impact of emission on human health and the climate. I am currently a postdoctoral research scientist at the Institute for Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences at Goethe University Frankfurt. I support the ACTRIS measurement station at the Taunus Observatory and chamber measurements for the CLOUD project at CERN.

My research utilizes state-of-the-science mass spectrometers to understand the chemical complexity of gasses and particles in the atmosphere, both indoors and outdoors. I marry laboratory and field measurements to understand novel emission sources and key processes. You can find my work on Google Scholar.

There may be opportunities to get involved with my work or with the Curtius group! Please feel free to reach out!
